About FutbolNet

An independent site about Spanish football: match data from open sources, news from sports media with a link to the original and our own guides.

Who we are

FutbolNet is an independent website about Spanish football run by Nubesol (Cádiz, España). It brings together today's matches, the La Liga, Segunda and Liga F tables, news from sports media and our own guides to how Spanish football works.

FutbolNet is not affiliated with LaLiga, Liga F, the Spanish football federation (RFEF) or any club. Club names and crests belong to their owners and are shown only to identify each team.

Where the scores and tables come from

  • Matches, scores and standings come from ESPN's public sports data interface. An automatic process queries it every 15 minutes, and the match pages reload themselves while games are in progress.
  • Kick-off times are shown in Spanish mainland time (CET/CEST).
  • Table zones (Europe, promotion, relegation) are those published by the source; they can change during the season because of the cup or decisions by the governing bodies.
  • If the source is slow to update, each page shows when the data was last received.

How we write the guides

  • We start from official sources: the IFAB Laws of the Game, the RFEF General Regulations, Spain's official gazette (BOE) and LaLiga's own information. Each guide lists its sources at the end and shows when it was last updated.
  • We do not accept sponsored content or betting links.

If you spot a mistake, write to [email protected] and we will check and correct it.

How the news is selected

The news section updates automatically from the public RSS feeds of the sources listed below. A program keeps football headlines (other sports are filtered out), sorts them into categories and removes duplicates.

  • We only show the headline, a short excerpt and a link to the original article; the full story belongs to each outlet.
  • Stories from Spanish-language media are shown with their headline and excerpt machine-translated (labelled "Machine translation"); the link goes to the original article.
  • News items are not reviewed by FutbolNet: each source is responsible for its own content.
